Bliss and Balance

Earlier this summer, mom and I ventured to Miraval in Tuscon, AZ for four days of relaxation and total bliss. It was a Mother's Day gift, and she was so kind to bring me with her (of course, she knew I would throw a mini tantrum if I wasn't invited). We felt so incredibly lucky to have this time to take a break from regular life and emerge fully into everything the resort had to offer.

For me, Miraval was a total dream vacation. We enjoyed an outdoor massage and hours of relaxation in the sun. I know what you're thinking (what about shielding my skin from the dreadful freckles and wrinkles?!) but I was truly attempting to live in the moment, and hey, a girl needs some vitamin D, right? I've decided a queen can find a way to fix anything, so I ended day three with a hydrating facial to make up for the drying effects of the heat and sun.

I have to admit, we were totally spoiled.
We made the most of our short week and hopped around to a few exercises classes. Call me an overachiever, but this betch tried yoga, bootcamp and cardio drumming! Of course, I rewarded myself by taking advantage of every snack or smoothie break that came my way.

If the experience doesn't sound like enough of a fairytale, I then ran into Prince Charming who was also spending a week at Miraval with his mamacita! Just teasing, but we did end the trip by playing with ponies. Oh, and I even tried meditation for the second time, but realized (once again) that I'm far too antsy for these types of activities. Perhaps I'll be better in my next life!

Everything she is - is more than enough.
